Adu Banting iPhone 4S vs Galaxy S II (Video)

Apple dan Samsung saat ini memang bersaing ketat. Di meja hijau, keduanya terlibat gugatan hukum dan saling menuduh pelanggaran paten.  Tak hanya di meja hijau, dalam penjualan smartphone, sejumlah produk Samsung Galaxy menjadi pesaing serius bagi iPhone.

Saat ini, produk yang menjadi pesaing serius bagi iPhone 4S adalah Samsung Galaxy S II. Baik spesifikasi, fitur, hingga harga, kedua produk ini memiliki poin-poin yang layak dibandingkan. Lihat perbandingan spesifikasinya di tautan ini.

Tapi di luar perbandingan spesifikasi, bagaimana kalau iPhone 4S dan Galaxy S II diuji ketahanan bantingnya. Tahan banting di sini tentu dalam artian sebenarnya, tahan jika dijatuhkan dari ketinggian tertentu. Sebuah video di YouTube kemudian memperlihatkan adu banting iPhone 4S dengan Galaxy S II. Jika dijatuhkan dari ketinggian sekitar 1 meter, iPhone 4S tampak tidak terlihat kerusakan, hanya sedikit lecet. Begitu pula ketika dibanting dari ketinggian sekitar 1,5 meter atau sepundak orang dewasa, iPhone 4S hanya mengalami lecet.

Tapi keadaan begitu berbeda ketika iPhone 4S dibanting pada sisi monitor yang menyentuh tanah terlebih dahulu. Monitor iPhone 4S terlihat retak-retak, bagian belakangnya pun juga ikut lecet. Bagaimana dengan Galaxy S II? Saat dijatuhkan dari ketinggian 1 dan 1,5 meter, Galaxy S II hanya mengalami sedikit lecet.

Begitu pula ketika dijatuhkan dengan monitor menghadap tanah terlebih dahulu. Berbeda dengan iPhone 4S yang retak, layar Gorila Glass yang dimiliki Galaxy S II terbukti tahan saat dijatuhkan. Buat fanboy Apple atau Samsung, apa Anda bersedia membanting ponsel berharga lebih dari Rp5 juta hanya untuk dijatuhkan dan membuktikan mana yang lebih baik? Semoga saja tidak.

But then why fifty years in the future when the spacecraft encounters a black hole does the computer call it an 'unknown entry event'? Why don't they know? If they don't know, that means we never told anyone. And if we never told anyone it means we never made it back. Hence we die down here. Just as a matter of deductive logic.
